2. What Physical Media Vault Is
Physical Media Vault is a platform for collectors of physical media formats — VHS, Betamax, Laserdisc, DVD, Blu-ray, and related formats. It provides collection cataloguing, community discovery, a wishlist system, and an enquiry function for listed items.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Provide accurate information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or content.
- Share, distribute, or facilitate access to illegal material.
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorisation.
- Interfere with the operation of the platform.
Physical Media Vault is a platform for legitimate collectors of legally obtained physical media. Any use of the platform to facilitate distribution of infringing content will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading it, you grant Physical Media Vault a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content in connection with operating the platform. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
6. Transactions and Enquiries
Physical Media Vault facilitates direct enquiries between users regarding listed items. We are not a party to any transaction between users. Physical Media Vault accepts no liability for loss, damage, or harm arising from any transaction or interaction between users, including non-delivery of items, items not matching their description, or fraud by other users. Users interact and transact at their own risk.
7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided on an 'as is' basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Physical Media Vault and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
8. Intellectual Property
The Physical Media Vault name, design, and original content are our intellectual property. Movie metadata and imagery is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) and remains the property of respective rights holders.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
10. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
